We are delighted to invite you to participate in Innovation Academy’s 5th Annual Cultivate, our signature Professional Ready Skills Event!
At IA, we are committed to providing authentic learning experiences that prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Every opportunity our students have to engage with business professionals offers a valuable glimpse into the real world—enriching their education and broadening their perspectives.
While we traditionally host this event in the spring, we’ve moved it to the fall to align with National Career Development Month in November!
Event Details:
- What: You are invited to host 50-minute workshops and/or a series of 15-minute mock interview sessions throughout the day. Workshops can focus on any soft or hard skill you believe is valuable for students preparing for their future careers. These students will soon be entering your workforce—what skills are they missing when they start a job? What would help them stand out in a competitive application process? Your session can be general or tailored to a specific industry.
You’ll have the flexibility to:
- Choose time slots that fit your schedule
- Stay for the full day if you’d like (breakfast provided by our IA Foundation and Food Truck available for purchase for lunch)
- Host 1-on-1 mock interviews with juniors and seniors, offering personalized feedback and advice
- Participating in our concurring college fair by setting up a table or sitting in on an admission process panel

Why: The mission of the IA Professional Ready Skills Day is to immerse our community in teaching skills our students will need as they enter college and the workforce. We aim to cultivate opportunities for our students to become more well-rounded, confident, and connected with our business and higher education communities.
